In April Geoffrey Tozer will record the eighth volume of his Medtner piano works series at Potton Hall in Suffolk and, later in the month, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble will go to Champs Hill Studio in Pulborough, Sussex to record Schubert's 'Trout' Quintet and other chamber works. In Manchester the BBC Philhamonic under the direction of Vassily Sinaisky will record Arensky's 2nd Symphony and other orchestral works. Matthias Bamert and the London Mozart Players will record symphonies by Herschel as part of the Contemporaries of Mozart series. |
