The Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra presents here its newest installment in the Haydn Symphony Project, a series of recordings which began in 1999 and will eventually will include every one of Joseph Haydn’s 105 symphonies. This volume includes Symphonies Nos. 6, 7, 8, 35, 46, and 51. The Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra concentrates its activities on the Viennese classics and the early German romantics. It performs these works in accordance with the principles of historical authenticity and has committed its interpretations to disk in a large number of recordings that have received unusually unanimous acclaim from music critics all over the world.
