In the first concerto by Saint-Saëns, for example, he also serves the virtuoso side with the highest dexterity, but he does not forget the polished arrangement. In the Elegy and Romance, on the other hand, he allows the moods set to music to resound expressively, but fortunately without depicting the music in a sentimental manner. In the Honegger, together with the orchestra, he clearly shapes the harmonically pointed and rude passages, just as in the Lalo he carries the tension over several slow passages.
