Reviews
“A brand new direct-to-DSD recording using the acclaimed Meitner gear, this turns out to be a thoroughly Russian production in every way: Ballet music by three great Russian composers of roughly the same era, playing by a Russian Orchestra conducted by a Russian conductor, and recorded in Moscow last year. The playing is superbly balletic and spirited and the programming af the three suites achieves plenty of variety and interest.”.

Recently the Russian National Orchestra with Mikhail Pletnev has moved from DG to PentaTone. The orchestra can now be heard with other conductors as well The orchestra still plays under Alexander Vedernikov with the same precision but freed from the clinical perfection under Pletnev.
This SA-CD is wetting the appetite for more."
Luister - July/August 2004
The music on this SACD ranges from the fun to truly magnificent……The Russian National Orchestra under the leadership of Alexander Vedernikov is excellent and the orchestra plays with a good deal of enthusiasm. Recommended!”
