His critically acclaimed début solo album, The Irish Piano, was released in 2012 and selected as ‘CD of the Week’ by the critic Norman Lebrecht. More recent solo recordings include Miniatures and Modulations and a disc of Impromptus by Schubert. A début orchestral album featuring piano concertos by John Field and Philip Hammond, with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Courtney Lewis, will be released in 2016. Michael McHale counts Sir James Galway, Michael Collins, Barry Douglas, and Patricia Rozario among his regular chamber music partners.
