Allen Street
Street had a career as a cornettist in young years. In addition to his work in various opera and filharmonic orchestras, he also established his own octet, which during the Second World War provided a broadcast broadcast on BBC London . After the war he became a music educator at various schools in the UK . In 1977 he retired.
In addition, he was conductor of the Derby Light orchestra and later, in the 1960s, also of different brass bands, such as Dalmellington Band and the Markham Main Colliery Band . In addition to a small work for Pocketful O'Jingle orchestra and a large number of brass band editions, he wrote most of his own works for the medium brass band.
