About
In a review appeared some years ago (in 2013) in The New Yorker, critic Richard Brody wrote that Patrick Cohen, “judging from the many CDs of him that I have heard, combines an original analytical insight with an exquisite touch. His manner is as instantly recognizable as it is fascinating, as tender as it is profound: I consider him one of the greatest living classical musicians”. On a Steinway grand piano recorded in Switzerland in 1997, Cohen brings all his stylistic knowledge and sensitivity to this set of six piano sonatas composed by Joseph Haydn in 1776.
