Performances are on the whole very solid, and the recorded sound is excellent. I am sometimes at a loss as to why anyone would buy discs other than Naxos, given this company’s continued value and quality! I have yet to see news of the release of this series in the US, but it is certain to be a big success once it crosses the water and gets to American record stores. This disc is highly recommended for music lovers of all stripes, and bravo to Naxos for once again delivering interesting and appealing items to add to our libraries!
